Definitions for the public track record, written so a crawler (and a human) can tell Post apart from Path.
Trade The Post vs Trade The Path
Trade The Post watches public posts and disclosures from market movers and sends a Telegram alert with ticker, LONG or SHORT, expected move and confidence.
Trade The Path is a different product: trend channels and where to buy or sell a stock. A number you see on tradethepost.com is a Post alert statistic, not a Path channel statistic.
Hit rate (“moved in our direction”)
- Universe: every alert that has finished its tracking window, published on /track-record — no cherry-picking.
- Window: the same hours shown on the track record (peak or trough inside that window, not a close-of-day mark).
- LONG: counts if the high after the alert exceeds the alert price inside the window.
- SHORT: counts if the low after the alert is below the alert price inside the window.
- Not measured: fill quality, slippage, overnight gaps you could not trade, or Path positions.

Frequently asked questions
What does “moved in our direction” mean?
After an alert, we watch the underlying for a fixed tracking window. A LONG counts as moved-our-way if price made a peak above the alert price inside that window; a SHORT counts if price made a trough below it. It is not filled-order P&L, not a stop/target backtest, and not a Trade The Path statistic.
Is Trade The Post the same as Trade The Path?
No. Trade The Post sends real-time alerts from market-mover posts. Trade The Path is a separate product for trend channels and execution context. They share a login. Hit-rate numbers on this site apply only to Post alerts.
